Best Friends

This is my narrative for English. Enjoy reading!

It was the first day of summer. The sun shined proudly upon the small town of Millville, an ordinary town with a not-so-ordinary past. Behind its prosperous atmosphere, the town has a dark history unlike any other city of the state, proven by brave acts of heroism done by a man who was once a boy, the town's favorite boy, Randall Joseph Sullivan or commonly referred to as Randy.
He and his group of friends have done more than a handful of good deeds to the town from saving it from getting turned into a mega mall by a rich tycoon obsessed with destroying the town itself to solving a murder mystery dating back to its early years.
Randy stood atop a hill overlooking the entire town. He was completely silent, he didn't say anything at all. In his mind he was reminiscing all the memories he had with his friends. He took a deep breath, turned around and walked down the hill to the path leading to town. He walked past all the major landmarks before he headed home. He went to his room, sat down on his bed facing the window and then... he cried. He cried at the fact that this was his last day in Millville. He is to move tomorrow to the town of Garland where he'll start working in a law firm, the most prestigious law firm in the state. All he could think of was, "Will they remember me, even though I'll be gone?"
He was talking about his beloved friends whom he had his biggest adventures with: Karen, Jimmy, Eric and Shirley. He's worried that his friends would forget him as the years pass. He didn't tell them that was leaving today. So with a room all full of boxes and a heavy heart, he lied down to sleep.
The next morning, he woke up to see a taxi outside the window. It was time for him to leave. He got on the taxi and it went down the path to the hill he went up yesterday. He could see four people atop the hill. Randy ordered the driver to stop and he immediately climbed up the hill. There he saw his four friends.
Randy was so surprised. "Guys, what are you doing here?" he said in a tone indistinguishable between sad and happy. "We're here to say goodbye, that's all." Karen said. "Yeah, Randy," said Jimmy, "we'll definitely miss you. Things'll get a lot boring here without you."
"So you guys didn't forget?" Randy said.
"Of course we didn't. We knew it would come." said Eric. "Well, we're friends aren't we? That's what we're for." said Shirley.
"Oh thank you guys! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Randy said uncontrollably. With happy faces, they engaged in a group hug for one last time. After releasing each other, Randy became speechless with delight. His friends, all with faces saying, "Go get 'em! Good luck in the firm!" also didn't say anything. He went down the hill and back inside the taxi. He looked back to see all four of his friends waving at him.
"So who were those people anyway? They your friends?" aksed the taxi driver.
"No, they're not my friends. They're my best friends." Randy said proudly. He was now ready to take on the future and whatever it has in store because of his friends, always behind him and supporting him through and through.
